The refinancing loan from Aareal was agreed at the end of H1. All the office, retail and hotel space of the complex has received a Well Health-Safety Rating, while the buildings are also BREEAM pre-certified. Once all the required certificates are in place, the loan will be converted into a contract in line with Aareal Bank’s green finance framework.

We are very proud to have closed this agreement with Ghelamco, which is not only a leading European real estate investor, but an especially outstanding developer on the Polish market. As such they have shaped the cityscape of Warsaw with award-winning modern buildings, while pioneering the establishment of sustainable standards in the Polish real estate market.

Ghelamco was advised by Deloitte Legal, while Aareal Bank was advised by CMS Cameron McKenna on legal matters and by Savills on valuation.
