Smart waste management – a step towards a circular economy

Managing waste in office buildings comes with tangible challenges, which Globalworth has decided to address in partnership with the startup WasteTracker. The advanced system combines a weighing terminal, employee access cards, and an analytical platform to precisely monitor and report waste streams.

"The system is not just another app – it’s a daily management tool that effectively reduces waste generation and increases the share of sorted fractions," says Przemysław Kiwer, Property Management Director Southern Poland at Globalworth Poland.

Data that transforms ESG strategies

WasteTracker provides tenants with reliable data essential for ESG reporting and compliance with CSRD requirements. In Q1 2025 alone, 2,188 waste registrations were recorded, averaging 24 entries per day across 11 properties.

"The ability to analyze waste structure based on real data allows companies to set ambitious yet achievable Zero Waste targets," comments Bartosz Marcol, Sustainability & ESG Manager at Globalworth Poland.

Education and optimization – a partnership approach

Beyond the technological implementation, Globalworth and WasteTracker are actively engaged in educational initiatives aimed at raising environmental awareness among tenants.
"This partnership approach allows Globalworth to truly set standards in responsible property management," adds Renata Hartle from WasteTracker.

Market leadership in sustainable development

The implementation of WasteTracker positions Globalworth Poland as a pioneer in green technologies for commercial real estate. The company plans to roll out the system to additional properties, further strengthening its leadership in sustainable development.

"Monitoring and responsible waste management are now essential standards for modern office buildings," emphasizes Alicja Kuczera, Managing Director at PLGBC.
