Nearly 80 people took part in the third edition of the Blue Charity Run, which kicked off at 10 a.m. on 12 April and was organised by global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield. This year its participants included for the first time not only Cushman & Wakefield employees, but also representatives of other firms. The city game “Across Wola for Autism”, developed by Adventure Warsaw, was a new feature of the run’s format. The funds raised thanks to the participants’ commitment totalled PLN 10,000 and were donated to the Mądre Główki Foundation, which supports families and children affected by autism.

2 April is the World Autism Awareness Day and marks the beginning of the World Autism Awareness Month to draw attention to the needs of people with autism. To express solidarity with those affected by autism, the real estate market promotes the campaign “Light It Up Blue” during which buildings are illuminated in blue. In April, Cushman & Wakefield also organises its Blue Charity Run.

This year, the third edition of the Blue Charity Run was combined with the city game “Across Wola for Autism”. The event was attended by 16 teams, including representatives of the Mądre Główki Foundation. During the five-kilometre run its participants had to complete nine tasks connected with the district’s history and the real estate market. The first team to reach the finish line was the “Industrial Fun Factory” team, which included representatives of Cushman & Wakefield’s Industrial Agency. After the run, all its participants and the supporters of the Blue Charity Run were invited to a picnic that was held at the 19. Dzielnica housing estate, 47 Kolejowa Street. Firms which took part in the event included Atlas Tower Sp. z o.o., Cushman & Wakefield, Mądre Główki Foundation, JLL, MAXON Nieruchomości and PRA Group Polska sp. z o.o.

We have been organising the Blue Charity Run to raise funds to support the Foundation and Integrated Kindergarten Mądre Główki for three years. However, this year’s edition was unique as we ran in such a large group for the first time. I would like to thank all the people who took part in this noble initiative and invite everyone to join our next year’s run. I hope to see more and more firms at the start line in the coming years, said Kinga Bloch, Partner, Cushman & Wakefield.
