Previously WTT held a BREEAM In-Use certificate with a rating of ‘Very good’. The new rating of ‘Excellent’ with a score of 76.1% is one of the results of the recent modernisation of the building. Since the time of its purchase by Globalworth in the second quarter of 2019, the company has spent several million złoty for this purpose, and this is only the start of the planned changes for this office building.

During the certification, WTT was assessed under 8 criteria: Health & Wellbeing, Energy, Transport, Water, Materials, Waste, Site Use & Ecology, and Pollution.  WTT scored highest for Materials (100%), Waste (100%) and Health & Wellbeing (97%). This last category is particularly important for tenants and their employees – because of it they can be certain that they have the highest quality working environment.

“Receiving a BREEAM certificate with a rating of ‘Excellent’ is another step in raising the quality of WTT to the highest office standards. So far, we have budgeted several million for this and you can see the effects of this investment. We are already preparing further improvements both to the technical standards and the way the building functions, for which we are going to use proptech. In the short term, these will result in raising our office tower onto the podium of one of the best office buildings in Poland,” says Maciej Kamiński, Head of Property & Facility Management at Globalworth Poland.

Warsaw Trade Tower is one of the most recognisable and tallest office buildings in Warsaw. With 42 floors and a height of 208m as well as over 45,000 sqm of office space, the office tower is located on ul. Chłodna in Wola near the crossing with ul Towarowa and al. Solidarności and also near the Rondo Daszyńskiego station on Warsaw’s second metro line.  In April 2009, Globalworth, the leading office investor in the CEE region, added the property to its portfolio.  Several companies have their regional headquarters in WTT, including insurance firm AXA, American Express, Avanssur, Leroy-Merlin and also Mattel. The tenants have over 400 parking spaces at their disposal as well as attractive common areas, most of which have already been modernised.
