Pool – a new passion at Olivia Centre
Olivia Centre has always been a place where business meets passion. This time, the office complex introduced a unique attraction – pool. It all started with an idea from Maciej Kotarski, Director at Olivia Centre, who decided to make a pool table available to everyone in the common areas. “When I found the table in our storage, I immediately thought about placing it in a public space and sharing it with our residents,” recalls Kotarski.
Omida Billiard Corner – a space for enthusiasts
The project engaged Bartłomiej Glinka, Co-Founder and Supervisory Board Member at Omida Group, who has a strong passion for billiards. Together with the Olivia Centre administration, he created a special area with professional pool tables. This is how Omida Billiard Corner was born on the first floor of Olivia Star.
During its very first year, the space hosted a league with 30 players. By the second edition, the number had already grown to over 40. “Thanks to excellent cooperation with Olivia’s administration, we quickly created a lively space, organized the league and tournaments, and the interest keeps growing,” says Glinka.
Pool as a lunch break activity
The pool zone is not just about tournaments – it is open to all residents and guests of Olivia Centre. People often drop by to play a quick 10-minute game during their lunch break, meet with colleagues, or simply relax away from their desks.
The first outdoor pool table in Poland
In 2024, thanks to the cooperation with Starmax, the project reached a new level. The first outdoor pool table in Poland was installed on the patio. “We are delighted when residents get involved in Olivia’s life. Omida Billiard Corner is a perfect example of how joint initiatives can enrich our space,” says Maciej Olszewski, Head of Communications at Olivia Centre.
The special surface of the outdoor table ensures playing conditions nearly identical to those of a traditional table covered with cloth. While the first outdoor tournament is still ahead, the table is already attracting enthusiasts – especially during lunch breaks and summer events like Lato na Patio.
Olivia Centre – a workplace and a community
Pool at Olivia Centre has become a symbol of integration and a fresh approach to workplace experience. The office complex proves that a modern office is not just a place to work but also a space for developing passions and building a sense of community.
